As in past years, our Easter centerpiece this season was inspired by bunnies. We can’t seem to get enough of them!
Our bunny of choice for 2026? A green flocked version nestled in a pail overflowing with tulips. We’ve had the robin’s egg blue pail for a few years (I bought it just because I loved the color – you can find a similar one at Michael’s) and finally got to put it to use.

The inspiration
The design was inspired by a post I saw of a similar bunny being attached to foam blocks in a planter – probably for an outdoor arrangement. I never saw the finished piece, but it got me thinking: I have this bunny, lots of foam blocks, and a cute pail. Let’s make a centerpiece.

The build
So, I added foam to the pail with an extra block for propping up the bunny, which I secured in place with a long wood pick. Then I pulled out my spring floral stash and started playing around.
That’s the part I love most – just spending time trying different ideas till something clicks.

I knew I wanted him to appear as if he was in a field of flowers, so I started adding tulips since I have a bunch of those. Sold on how the tulips were looking, I added more.
Once enough tulips were in place, I started adding other accents, like faux Easter eggs and jute carrots for texture and color. Then I popped a mini terra cotta pot into the mix and tucked Easter grass around the edges to fill open gaps.

Ta da! One colorful centerpiece complete and ready for display! And it only took 15 minutes.
Ready for display

This sweet bunny graces our dining room table and makes a colorful antidote to an otherwise gray and chilly start to spring.

I love the cheerful colors and that I was able to use what I had on hand.

It really brightened up the room, too, which was more than welcome.

Now to come up with a table setting. Whatever it is, it will definitely include those carrot napkin rings we made earlier.
Happy Easter and happy spring!
