After finishing our flower-filled Easter table, I was inspired to do a second one. The motivation? Bunnies!
I LOVE bunnies – always have. So cute and fluffy – those adorable ears and sweet faces – it’s a borderline obsession.
And with so much adorable bunny decor available, I thought, I gotta bring them to the table!

The centerpiece

I started with the same linen runner I used on the first table. It adds needed softness to the long wood table and the color is perfectly neutral. Then I started building the centerpiece, which includes three main pieces: two sisal bunnies and a small wood wheelbarrow.

The first bunny is this taller fellow carrying an armload of carrots. He’s standing on a stack of vintage books – mostly with green covers. I had some of these and picked a few more up at the local thrift store for just a few dollars. They make great decorating elements!

Then I added a slightly smaller sisal bunny. This cutie, with her armload of jute and velveteen carrots, wears a pink gingham apron and is seated on a smaller stack of books.

Between them is an adorable wheelbarrow filled with brown paper shreds carrying – you guessed it – more carrots! Peeking into the wheelbarrow is one of two flocked bunnies I picked up at the Dollar Tree. I love the variety of colors and textures – brown sisal, green flocking, orange jute, distressed wood.

Filling things out

To fill things out just a bit more, I placed boxwood wreaths accented with yellow flowers on either end of the table. (These are the same wreaths used to make my spring candle rings.) Then I added a yellow ceramic cupcake stand in the center of each one and topped it with a bird’s nest and Easter egg.
I love how these turned out!

Place settings

For the place settings, I used ruffled burlap chargers (and I use these a lot) for most of the table. On the ends, I went with simple brown braided chargers, just for a little contrast. Atop each, I added antiqued white chargers (which I also use a lot).

Then I layered on some pretty green block print napkins. These napkins took FOREVER to arrive from Amazon. In fact, the first ones I ordered simply never shipped, so I cancelled those and ordered these. All told, it took almost three weeks for anything to arrive. My table sat half done for nearly a month.

With napkins finally in place, I added a mix of everyday white dishes – nothing too fancy, as I really wanted a relaxed, playful vibe for this table. These Oneida and Pfaltzgraff patterns have just enough detail to be interesting without being distracting.

Simple white coffee cups (part of the Oneida set) and clear hobnail goblets, along with vintage silver, complete the place settings.

Final accents

For the finale, I created little decorations to sit on top of each place setting.

Half got a vintage porcelain coffee cup with a mini bird nest and carrot accent.

The other half got a mini terracotta pot filled with yellow flowers secured in place with floral foam. The pots are from Walmart and the flowers were extras from Dollar Tree.

And folks, that’s a wrap!
Wishing you many Easter joys!
