How to DIY a Pretty Spring Candle Ring

Close up of a boxwood candle ring with yellow flowers and white seed heads. There's a white pillar candle in the center in a glass vase and it's sitting on a round wood stand.

I removed the flowers from the stems and attached them to my boxwood ring, spacing them as evenly as possible.

You can do this with many artificial floral stems and bushes. The flowers and leaves are typically attached to a piece of wire coated in green plastic, and they’re removable (see pics above). Just pull them off one and put them on the other – presto!

In about five minutes, I had spring candle rings ready to go.

These may be sold as wreaths, but don’t let that limit you!

Versatility is important when it comes to decorating. I love a seasonal look, but don’t want tons of stuff cluttering up the house and storage areas. So, finding multiple uses for a single item, like this wreath, is perfect: wreath, candle ring, decor for a mini cake plate, basket, bowl, etc.

Then I used one of the remaining two on an entryway sideboard, between these cute wooden bunny carvings I got at Home Goods. (If you like the bunnies but can’t find them, you can easily get the look. Just prop a wood (or wood-like) rabbit on a rustic cake stand – voila!)

The final candle ring went on a credenza in the hallway. One of my favorite spots for seasonal decor.

I’m sure I’ll repurpose these again for future holidays. It’s a quick and easy way to add some seasonal joy to your home.
