For something a little different, try hanging lengths of garland accented with a large pinecone on the bottom. Achieve the look using eucalyptus, olive, and/or lambs ear leaves. Add berries (but skip anything red) and cap it off with moss and some twine. The combination of materials is unique and interesting!

Wood Slices

Wood slices are another wreath material perfect for wintertime. They’re sturdy and simple, making them a wonderful foundation for other decorative accents. Dried or faux flowers in white, seed heads, twigs, and burlap add warmth and texture to this wreath.

Upcycled Scarf Wreath

The Crazy Craft Lady

Lastly, we have the upcycled scarf wreath. This is another one of my favorites. It looks great and it’s SO easy to make. If you have an unused scarf, give it a new life by creating a winter wreath from it. Or, if you don’t have one lying around the house, head to your local thrift store and get one on the cheap.

I made two from cable knit scarves I got on clearance at Walmart years ago. It was a fun project and so fast. Bonus: the wreaths still look great after nearly 10 years!

There are so many fun ways to add a winter welcome to your home – I hope you find the perfect one!
