This super easy chili comes together in a slow cooker for a deliciously satisfying weeknight meal. Ground turkey and fiber-rich black beans make it a healthier option that's still big on flavor. 11.25-oz. envelope chili seasoning mixsuch as McCormick
6oz.beerhalf of a can
1 ½cupsfrozen corn kernelsoptional
1red bell pepperchopped
1green bell pepperchopped
28oz.can crushed tomatoes
15oz.can black beans, drained and rinsed
8oz.can tomato sauce
¾tsp.salt
Toppings: shredded Cheddar cheese, chopped red onion, sliced fresh jalapeños
Instructions
Cook turkey and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often, about 8 minutes or until turkey crumbles and is no longer pink and onion has softened. Add minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, then sprinkle chili seasoning over all and stir till well combined.
Add the beer, and cook another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and transfer mixture to a slow cooker; stir in corn (if using) and remaining ingredients until well blended.
Cover and cook on low setting for 6 hours.
Serve with desired toppings.
